Pics From The Summer part 2

My most favorite pictures of the summer! And to think this happened on my birthday, what a gift! haha!

My birthday was June 28th and had a great day spending it with family at Mickie & Chuck's house. Dinner was at one of my favorite restaurants, Macaroni Grille for the 2nd year in a row. Maybe a new birthday tradition? And take a look at the yummy fruit bouquet from Richard & Sandy from Edible Arrangements. Loved it!

We celebrated Grandpa Chuck's birthday at Longhorn's with the kids, cousins Jordan & Ryan, and Nathan, Kathleen, Tamra and John. Happy Birthday, Chuckerboy!

We joined Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Larry in Silverhill, Al on an RVing weekend! The park was called Wales West RV & Train Park and it seemed to have everything! A full-sized train (and a mini one), a lake with paddle boats and swimming area, indoor salt water pool and hot tub and playground! We drove over to Foley (by Gulf Shores) one night for dinner at Lambert's and the grandparents and Trey got to have their first "throwed rolls"!

Thanks to Tamra and Chuck, we took the kids to a Mobile Baybears baseball game and got to sit in her season tickets seats right behind home plate! Trey and Ashlynne got to run across the field with all the kids in-between innings for a game of chase with the mascot, "Teddy".

Still having a hard time believing I'm old enough to have my 20-year high school reunion, but it happened on July 25th in Mobile, Al! My sweet husband flew in from Fort Leavenworth, KS where he was TDY for a few weeks to accompany me and played photographer to these pics. I thought we'd gotten a picture together but can't find one-- he looked great though! The first pic is of my best friends from high school, Kim Wimmer and Angela Mills. The last one is Pam, Aimee, Misha and Mandy. All the anxiety of seeing everyone after 20 years was completely gone since we've all reconnected through facebook over the last year so it was fun night!

We met up with Russell & Evie and the kids at the condo in Destin for a couple of days. I can't believe it's been 2 years since we'd seen them! We were sad Whitney wasn't there this time, but were amazed at how tall Zibby and Alan have gotten! Trey loved "meeting" his cousins and made a special bond with Alan. I've always said they're so alike! We swam in the pool, went to the beach and of course, stayed up waaaay too late each night talking and catching up. Had a heck of a storm too- check out that skyline! We're happily making plans to spend Thanksgiving together this year!

Trey caught a little frog and (gulp) "played" with him for the whole evening. May he rest in peace.....

A day jet skiing on Mobile Bay. Same weekend Lance flew in for my reunion, we had a great time! It was really cool riding right up beside the USS Alabama!
