Dinner at Mellow Mushroom

One last night out on the town before Lance has to head back to Afghanistan. Our new Mellow Mushroom in Fayetteville was fun and that balloon guy could do anything! Trey got a bull complete with nose ring and Ashlynne, of course, had to have a duckie!

Christmas in Alabama, 2011

Lance was able to take leave for Christmas and flew home just in time to roadtrip to Alabama! We had so much fun visiting and celebrating with Mickie & Chuck in Daphne (along with Nathan, Kathleen, Jordan & Ryan, Tamra & John and Josh and Erin!), then over to Richard & Sandy's in Marianna, FL, along with Russell, Evie, Zibby & Alan, then up to Enterprise, AL to see Jeanne & Larry. Whew! Merry Christmas!

The Book!

The family knows I put together a sort of "year in review" of us Tessier's and send it to all the parents and grandparents. I should be doing this little by little all year long and occasionally it occurs to me that I should actually upload those hundreds and hundreds of pictures to the computer so I can get a headstart on it. But, alas, as usual, I wait until about mid-way through October when I remember just how big a job putting that book together really is, if only because I'm so indecisive on which pictures I'll use or have to edit out. (they're all perfect gems right?!!) Anyway, the "book" as we call it, for this year is FINALLY done and out of my hands. I can't wait to see it in person instead of just up on the computer screen! I truly hope all the text makes sense because after all the late nights I put in on it, my eyes were going cross-eyed and I was starting to speak my own language. My kids will be happy they won't have to eat drive-thru and pizza for a while and I can get back to cooking and making holiday goodies for them! That said, I thought I'd post last year's book from 2010 and make up for my shocking lack of attention to my dear blog. My New Year's Resolution is to be much more attentive and drive you all crazy with all our Tessier goings-on! After the big reveal of this year's book to the grandparents, I'll post it here too. Disney/Universal trip! summer, 2011

Still here!

We won't go into just HOW long it's been since we last posted (ahem). No sense mentioning how all my free-time for blogging was gone in a *poof!* after I began my new job as a background investigator. We'll just say, I had to readjust some priorities for my sanity and to be more available for my family and now we're back in the swing of things!

A quick catch-up since the last post....
* Lance deployed again in May, this time to the sandbox, and will thankfully be home for a visit for Christmas! This year, we'll be spending Christmas at Grandma Mickie & Pop-Pop's (Chuck).
* Ashlynne made Varsity Cheerleader this year and has been super busy with that and all her schoolwork as a sophomore at Gray's Creek High School. She's also taking Ballet (pre-pointe), Lyrical and Jazz.
* Trey turned FIVE and started Kindergarten at Gallberry Farm Elementary School where Ashlynne used to go!
* We went on a fun and much-needed vacation to Disney World and Universal Studios (to see the Harry Potter Universe) in July with Mickie & Chuck and Ashlynne's friend, Skylar. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been if Lance could be there with us and about 25 degrees cooler!
