So much going on in the last month, it's hard to know where to start! Ok, first things first-- and most of you know-- Lance finally got home! Yes, on the 25 of February...just a little later than that projected date of December 12th or so. Better late than never I guess.
That being said, he was just in time to steel himself to take care of the kids while I went to training for my new job! I've taken a position as an investigator with USIS, which does background investigations for clearance and employment screenings, mainly for the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM). I've been in Grove City, PA for the last two weeks training and got home just yesterday. Feels like I've been gone two months! Although I have to admit, it was a nice little "vacation" to get away despite all the material we had to learn. It was a fairly large class --about 50 of us-- from all over the country. There were 6 I believe from here in the Fayetteville area, so it was nice to form a support network right away! Fort Bragg has one of the highest number of investigators assigned to the area, about 40, and about 100% of the cases will be military. I'm looking forward to getting into it, wish me luck!
