End of Year Picnic & Graduation

So the school year was winding down but there was still much fun to be had! The end-of-year picnic included the whole school and their families and a big cook-out. And finally, Ashlynne is officially a middle schooler! She had her Aloha-themed graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 5th. It was really nice-- they did a slideshow of the kids throughout the year and ended it with a shot of them as a baby and then revealed who the kid was with a current shot. Awwwww. Each child came up on stage to collect their "diploma" and say a line on what they learned or enjoyed most over the year or some words of wisdom to the 5th graders coming up. Here's a clip of Ashlynne's-- if the camera had stayed on the first teacher (Mrs. Chavez) you would have seen her wipe a tear away after Ashlynne finished. Of course she is three months pregnant and cries a lot right now! We are so proud of Ashlynne!
