Ashlynne and Tiffani decided about a week and a half ago that they were going to throw Kirstyn a Goodbye Party since she's moving to Missouri in a another week or so. That turned into inviting the entire 6th grade and becoming the party of the season. Luckily, there's an activity center in our neighborhood that we were able to reserve at no cost! All us parents kept scratching our heads halfway through the night wondering who it was that agreed to a 5-10pm party. Instead of having bunches of balloons placed here and there, Ashlynne wanted the balloons to be "free" and spread all over the ceiling. While that might have looked cool prior to the party, as soon as the kids got there, that seemed to be their cue to grab them and start sucking the helium out so they could talk funny. Or the one little girl (Lance kept calling her the weird 'Breakfast Club' girl) that kept gathering herself up a bouquet and walking outside to let them go. grrrrrr.... But, everybody had a great time and Ashlynne and Tiffani have been deemed great party-throwers. Lance served as the DJ, we had tons of food and Ashlynne's Dance Dance Revolution game was a big hit. A lot of the girls (especially Ashlynne) are going through an 80s obsession. Pat Benetar is very cool right now. There's a picture up there of them dancing to 'Thriller'. Even Trey had a big time-- he got to stay up WAY too late and eat a bunch of junk all night! Big fun!
